It’s release day, which means I get to share Chase Walker with the world at last.
However, anyone who has been following the lead up to the release of Sex Therapist will be noticing some changes as of today – and with good reason.
Right before the weekend, I realised that Sex Therapy was completely unsearchable on Amazon. For a new release, this is absolutely no blooming use to me as its author.
I have spent the entire weekend emailing with Amazon about the why and what can be done about it, and each time I have received an addition reason on top of the last ones they threw at me. On Saturday evening, I finally managed to pinpoint it down to the fact that my cover was too explicit, my title had the word ‘sex’ in it, and when combined with the book’s adult content, they couldn’t possibly allow it to show up in a ‘general search’. I did argue that typing ‘sex therapy: episode one j.a. belfield’ into their search bar didn’t really classify as a ‘general search as it was pretty specific – nor did using the book’s ASIN (ID number) as a search trigger, but both of those in the search bar continuously bought up ‘0 results’. By the responses I kept getting from Amazon staff, I’m unsure if they just couldn’t quite understand what I was trying to say, or if they were skirting answering me.
Either way, it was the weekend prior to the release of a pre-order, and according to Amazon’s pre-order rules, I couldn’t update any of the book’s details or files so close to release, so I was stuck.
However, I had, throughout Saturday, come to terms with the fact that I would have to change both the cover AND title of Sex Therapy if I wanted it to ever be seen/found, etc.
I had ONE DAY to sort this out. And, again, due to the above-mentioned Amazon rules regarding pre-orders, I couldn’t actually make any of these changes before it’s actual release date.
I also have a 3 day book blast booked with Enchanting Journey, and every single blogger had been sent out the ‘Sex Therapy’ title details and the ‘Sex Therapy’ cover – which is a complication I admit.
Despite this, because I want my book to be found, I decided to go ahead and make the changes.
So, if you see some awesome bloggers shouting out about Sex Therapy, don’t stress it – they’re doing what they’ve been asked.
And if you see others shouting out about ‘The Therapist’ … again, don’t stress it, because THE THERAPIST is Sex Therapy’s new (last-minute) name.
And below, is its new cover. ☺☺☺

From International Bestselling author J.A. Belfield comes an intriguing erotic romance serial …
Episode One: Through self-imposed rules and a learned composure, Chase Walker takes a married couple on their first steps into bedroom communication. The same stance he takes with every client on his list. That is, until his newest client walks in and gives a whole new meaning to a hard day at the office. With a face full of innocence and a beauty she seems unaware of, Abi O’Shay might just be the first person to crack his professional façade.
Chase Walker: Founder of C.W. Consult. Sex therapist extraordinaire.
And, without question, always in control.
After years of schooling his emotions, Chase takes pride in his self-composure and firm lack of commitment. It takes only one, fresh-faced redhead in need of his services for all of that to fall to pieces.
Abigail O’Shay is everything Chase isn’t. Sweet. Innocent. A virgin.
Chase has never wanted to defile anything more.
Except, if that whole therapist-client barrier isn’t enough of an issue, Chase’s own demons are only too happy to cock-block all the sinful fantasies treatments he has in mind for his latest client.
