~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you recall, I announced on 9th September my intention to participate in the giveaway blog hop as hosted by Bitten by Paranormal Romance.
Well, the time has arrived for your chance to grab some loot.
And not just any old loot, but Darkness & Light loot.
What do you mean: Get on with it already?
Jeez, okay.
I guess the 1st most important thing y’all want to know is: WHAT DO WE WIN?
Well … ONE lucky winner will receive one of each of the following:
1)       One E-copy of my paranormal romance novel, Darkness & Light, in either Kindle or EPUB format.
Here’s the blurb, so’s y’all know what it’s about:
Jem Stonehouse, a housewife with a neurotic husband bent on keeping her in line, dreams about werewolves in, what she believes, is a bid to escape boredom.
Sean Holloway is a werewolf, living a charade within the human race, whose mind drifts to a bond he shares with a woman he hasn’t met–at least, not in this lifetime.
Apart, the two are safe but live unfulfilled lives.
Together, they’ll become prey to rival packs just as they have been for hundreds of years.
When their worlds collide, and not for the first time, instinct takes over. Dreams become reality. Futures are uncertain. To keep history from repeating itself, Sean must teach Jem about his heritage, convince her of her role, and win her love.
Can Jem accept her destiny before it’s too late, or is her inner wolf buried too deep to save her future with Sean?
2)       One Darkness & Light poster, signed by me with a personalised message to the winner (this sucker is BEAUTIFULLY SHINY!!!!).
3)       One signed Darkness & Light bookmark.
4)       And one bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Bliss to nibble on whilst reading their copy of Darkness & Light. 🙂
SO … what’s the 2nd most important thing y’all need to know?
That’s right!
  1. Werewolves in novels are great. I only just realized how nice werewolves can be… I used to be strictly vampire, but after reading sooooo many great books featuring the wolves (like Nicky Charles’ Law of the Lycans series – all free on nook), I have an appreciation for them.
  2. I think having werewolves in the storyline of a novel is a great idea! To me It makes the story more interesting and exciting because of their mysteriousness and sex appeal! I think that along with vampires, werewolves are becoming the newest big craze! And who doesn’t like reading about a sexy vampire or werewolf right? LOL. I would definitely add it to my MUST READ books! 🙂
  3. Oh, I forgot I’m supposed to say something about Werewolves.
    My thoughts about Werewolves are similar to my thoughts about vampires. Both of them are monstrous conditions by very definition, the individuals themselves can be nice, mean, tall, skinny, fat, black, white, or anything in between just so long as the physical affliction itself remains absolutely monstrous.
    If it is not monstrous then it is not really lycanthropy.
  4. New subscriber! Glad I found your blog. Lovin’ that book cover. Werewolves – I love them. I recently read a rather popular werewolf book and was a bit freaked out at first, because the heroine fell in love with the hero while he was in his wolf form…before she knew he had the power to turn human. Well, I was totally weirded out but as the book progressed, the weirdness went away and I ended up loving it.
  5. Wow, thank you so much for the giveaway, everything looks awesome and I love that you threw some chocolate in at the end. Werewolves don’t usually appeal to me immediately but I’ve found that I like reading about them, and I love some books with werewolves. And they can be pretty sexy XD. I’m a subscriber.
  6. Having a werewolf in a novel gives the reader a chance to believe that there really could be more to life then what we see everyday. We all read novels to escape the dum de dum of everyday life so anything that can take us away and give us hope is a good thing.
    1. Ah, of course. Your soft spot for young Josh. You know, my friend’s teenage daughter read Darkness & Light, and the first question she asked when the Holloway Pack come on the scene was: How old is Josh? Hehehe.
  7. If you’d asked me this question before, I’d have said I didn’t like the idea. For some reason I just never liked Werewolves in stories! Now however, I’m definitely starting to warm up to them and have loved all of the last werewolf series I’ve read. It definitely gives a nice twist to the story, both with romance and plot! Plus, I love to think there’s more out there than what we see. 😉
  8. i have only recently discovered werewolves in my books, but i am in some serious love with them. i am reading a series right now my Missy Martine that is wonderful. i have not read the Darkness&Light book but the cover is gorgeous and it sounds like a wonderful story that i can’t wait to start reading.
  10. This book sounds great. I love the idea of wolves in books, I will honestly say I have not read many books with werewolves, the most recent was the Twilight series.
  11. I like reading about werewolves in books. In fact some of my favorite books and series have weres and shifters in them. Its interesting to see each author’s different take on the myths and legends behind werewolves as well. Some of my favorite werewolf authors are Cynthia Eden, Kim Harrison, Laurell K Hamilton, Karen MacInerney, Linda Robertson, Kresley Cole, etc. Thanks for the giveaway!
  12. I enjoy werewolf novels, especially when the characters are a bit more animalistic. In some, there’s no dioffference between the weres and humans and that just doesn’t seem realistic (well, as realistic as a were novel can be).
  13. Thanks for joining the giveaway. I am always on the look out for a new author to enjoy and stalk, er, um, follow.
    My feelings on werewolves is that I like to see a new take on them. The stories that interest me the most are the ones where there is something unique and different about these particular werewolves. Either the pack dynamics or their history or their relationships with humans… just something new and fresh, or at least something that makes them stand out from the crowd. But don’t forget the snarky, sarcastic, tough women who stand up for themselves. My favorite books combine the two.
  14. I love werewolf stories. I try to get all that I can find. In fact, I get most shifter stories, that I come across, not just werewolves. I’m a little bit addicted. I even love werewolf horror movies, and usually root for the werewolf, especially if there is a TSTL screaming woman in the picture.
  15. Thanks for the contest, I am hoping through… I love werewolves, I love that they have their pack and their leader, and they mate for life (well, in theory). I love that werewolves are pretty “human” but they have that something-extra, their animalistic nature. Anyhow, thanks again for the contest, have a great weekend! Book Savvy Babe
  16. Hmmm…I have to say I’m new to werewolves. Are they the same as wolf-shifters? If so, then I like their pack life and also that they have the extra powers.
    Thanks for the giveaway.
    1. A lot of readers plant werewolves in the same category as shifters, but to me they’re different in the way their transformation takes place. Shifters tends to be more illusionary, whereas the weres are full physical transformations. But their tendencies are very close.
      Thanks for visiting. 🙂
  17. Gotta love the wolf man…especially the hotties. I picture the hottie werewolves like in Teen Wolf, and man, who can say no to that???? Not sure if I personally would like my place in the pack, though. Some of it is kind of archaic for today’s modern woman…I tend to like werewolf stories where the gals don’t have to be totally subservient to the alpha male. LOL
  18. You had me at one bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Bliss! Now this is a giveaway! Ahem…okay to the question: I totally love werewolves. I love that they are Alpha-take charge-and when they set their sights on their mate.. watch out!
  24. Werewolves. My ultimate weak spot! I love all paranormals, but I have a weakness for shifters. Seriously if there is a werewolf in the story I’m pretty much an easy get! And the chocolate, well need I say more? It’s chocolate!
    Thanks for the giveaway.
    rae.gwendy(at)gmail(dot)com
  25. I subscribed 🙂 Thanks so much fo rthe giveaway!
