Man, on, man! I have been sitting on this cover since around July of 2012, and it. Has. Crippled. Me. not being able to share.

Partly because this was my hardest book to write to date.

Partly because THIS IS ETHAN, PEOPLE!

And partly because this is easily my favourite Holloway Pack cover so far.

So, I’m gonna quit waffling on and just give you the goods.

News: Double Announcement!

Yep, you read the post title. This is a DOUBLE announcement!

BECAUSE, I have not one, but TWO new signed contracts to tell you about for The Hollway Pack!

Announcement Number 1!

Resonance.

Now, you’re probably wondering what the heck’s Resonance, because I haven’t really shouted too loudly about this one.

Yet.

Well, that’s about to change!

Resonance is a novella.

It is also Holloway Pack 2.5.

Yup.

There was a fair bit of discussion with my editor over Resonance prior to it being contracted, about the best way to get it into my readers hands, but after some back & forthing, J.Taylor and myself have come up with something that both parties are happy with. I’ll share more details on that at a later date, though. All’s you lovely peeps need to know for now is that Resonance: Holloway Pack 2.5 HAS been contracted (wahooo!) and it shall be hitting the virtual shelves early April 2013.

Guess who’s Coming to Town?

In November of 2010 I had an idea for a third title for the Holloway Pack.

At the time, the Holloway Pack stories hadn’t even got a series title.

Heck, at that point, I hadn’t anticipated it extending beyond Blue Moon.

So I sat on the idea.

I’m pretty glad I did now. Because the initial idea for Holloway Pack 3 entered my head as Jem’s POV.

Twelve months later, it came to me that I had it aaaaall wrong.

Jem couldn’t lead the storyline in my head. It just didn’t gel—which, I think, is possibly why, a year later, I still hadn’t written it.

So I got to thinking, if it isn’t Jem’s story, who the heck’s is it?

When it did eventually hit me, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t realised it sooner.

That’s right: Ethan Holloway!

You’ve all met Ethan Holloway. In the sidelines in Darkness & Light. In his own mini-show for any who’ve read Halloween Hunting over on my website. And come December you’ll be getting a little more time with him again in Blue Moon. As well as his appearances he’ll make in Resonance next Spring.

But not like this.

Nope.

Only those who read Caged will have truly met Ethan Holloway.

And now I’ll get to share him with you!

Because Caged: Holloway Pack 3 has been contracted!

NEWS: Escort to Insanity is Contracted!

Sometime last winter, around November time, my editor approached me with a propostion.

“Hey,” she said, “we’re thinking of making a winter anthology for December 2012. We want you to be the headliner. You interested?”

“Sure,” I said. Coz I was.
So then I had a problem. I’d agreed to provide a story. But I had no story.

Last time they asked me for an antho submission, I gave them a Holloway Pack short.

I couldn’t do that this time.

Because, due to the fact the anthology will be released the same day that Blue Moon launches, I have no Holloway Pack happenings that will fit into that slot time-wise.

About that moment, when realisation sank in, my head kinda went ‘Eeeeeeeeeeek!’

Because it meant I had to write a new story. One at fairly short notice. One with an unfamiliar plotline. One set in a ‘world’ I’d had no time to get to understand. One with new characters I knew absolutely nothing about.

But I panicked not. Okay, not much.

I simply took a singular idea that popped into my head … wrote down around 300 words to solidify that said idea would be where the story would start … and kept going back to it and playing around with the folks like they were Barbie and Ken on a bender … and voila …

ESCORT TO INSANITY was born.

It’s different to Holloway Pack. Different cast. Different tone. Different (dare I say it?) supes.

And I just recently signed a contract for it.

So it’s official.

I’m heading up a winter anthology.

MAKE BELIEVE is coming December 2012.

BIG NEWS: Book 2 of THE HOLLOWAY PACK Coming This Winter!

Yeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaaaa!

In case you hadn’t figured it out from the title and the pic above, the 2^nd full length novel for the Holloway Pack Stories has been officially contracted …

… (see?) and I can now reveal all.

BLUE MOON will show readers of Darkness & Light just how snugly Jem has settled into pack life. Which probably means y’all now know for sure that (due to the mean author I am) something is going to go horribly wrong … right?

And that’s about as much as I can reveal about the storyline. Sorry.

Just know that this beauty is full of love (of course), jealousy, some definite HOTness, action, and the regular dose of magic one has every right to expect from a Holloway Pack novel.

Yeah, I know, I know, December seems an age away. It does to me, too.

However, you can always check out Eternal (due July 2^nd) in the meantime.

Plus, if you keep your eyes open, you’ll get to share in the Blue Moon Cover Reveal coming on 9^th April … and then there’ll be the book trailer to look forward to … and some goodies giveaways … and maybe some pre-release ARC’s up for grabs …

See? It’s not as though you’re being inconsiderately left to flail whilst you wait.

COMING SOON: FATED ENCOUNTER!

A couple weeks ago, I had the idea to write a short story that I could give to my readers for free. I’m a sucker for writing little snippets of stuff that shows how events in my novels played out from a different perspective—especially as my 1^st person PoV preference shows them through only one character’s eyes.

Anyhoo, I got to wondering … about the very first time Jem ‘thought’ she saw Sean in Darkness & Light, and I decided it might be fun to understand the encounter from Sean’s PoV.

Not only would I get to make it a little … um … ‘funner’ than the original, I’d get to work with the male I love working with, the male whose voice arrives as loud as a banshee wail in my ear.

So I wrote it.

Took me a few days (if you know me, you know I’m a slow typer), but I really liked what I ended up with.

And I was excited at the thought of sticking it up on my website as a free read for everyone—a way to say thanks to all those awesome people who have bought Darkness & Light and showed their support.

But that’s not the news.

The news is that I shared the story with my editor—not to sell (they don’t sell stories as short as this one), but just because she was interested. When it came back edited (I didn’t sulk at the red-pen, honest), and with a proposition, I was a little surprised … yet totally excited.

Yep, J. Taylor Publishing have offered to put Fated Encounter up as a free Kindle and Ebook read for folks to obtain, which means it got a cover and a blurb and it will have the potential to reach a much wider platform.

What’s more, I’ve been told we can aim for a September 1^st release so readers won’t have to wait very long for it to be available.

Way back around Easter time -ish, I signed a contract for my novella, Instinct.

I’m mucho excited about this one, as this is a tale I wrote for totally selfish reasons because I had an urge to discover what made Sean Holloway tick.

So … this is a story that takes readers way back to the beginning.

In Instinct, the reader will get to understand how it all began between Jem and Sean of Darkness & Light.

And … today … I get to share the cover and blurb with the Internet world.

Each earlier mock cover that was sent for me to check out got a kind of ‘Ummm’ reaction from me.

Then this one came, and my response upgraded to ‘oooooh’.
