What Form Would Emi Gayle Choose on Her 19th Year?

Lucky, lucky me, I get to be a stop on the blog tour for the Darkest Day by my writer pal, Emi Gayle.

Darkest Day is the final installment in the 19th Year Trilogy, featuring feisty Changeling Mac Thorne and nerd-hunk Winn Thomas, and anyone who has been reading along has been waiting for this moment, to find out what Mac will choose, from the beginning. And now the time has finally arrived.

To celebrate, I have a groovilicious guest post from Emi + a ‘What Will Mac Choose’ poll + a pretty awesome giveaway.

First, though, let’s check out the book(s).

Blurb for DARKEST DAY:

Mac Thorne’s time as a Changeling is coming to an end.

It may have taken eighteen years, but Mac did finally manage to do what the Council wanted: she chose a teacher and renounced the in-between.

There’s just one last step. She must say goodbye to her human. Forever.

After being challenged in every way possible, Mac leaves what she thought would be the easiest task for the last possible moment. As midnight on July fourth draws near, though, she hasn’t found a way to give up Winn Thomas.

Nor does she want to.

With time running out, Mac stands at a literal crossroads. Choose Winn, and she’ll be stripped of the only family she’s ever known — vampires, dragons, and her favorite demon. Even her own mother. Accept her position on the Council and rule as an equal to her twelve peers, and she’ll forget Winn ever existed.

Independence and freedom have never before been so limiting.

In this final chapter of the 19th Year Trilogy, it’s time for Mac to decide.

Responsibility? Or Love?

And now, it’s over to Emi:

What Supernatural Form Would Emi Gayle Choose on Her 19th Year?

What kind of question is this? This isn’t about me! Oh wait … maybe it is. Is it? No? Yes? I mean Mac had to pick a form but I don’t. I’m a general old normal human. 100% human in fact. I just go about my merry way being my merry self and not changing into anything. Or do I?

In fact, over the course of the last six months, I’ve been changing. Physically, I’ve lost over 30 pounds and am on a goal to lose another 20. But that’s human changing, not supernatural goodness like Mac has.

I wouldn’t want to be her though. She’s got so much on her shoulders. So much to do and think about and deal with. She’s a leader. Oh, wait … so am I. She’s got responsibilities and people to take care of. Oh, dang, me, too. So maybe we are a little more alike than I thought. If thats the case, then well … I’d want to be whatever Mac chooses.

And on that cop out of an answer … I say read Darkest Day because I want to exactly what Mac is.

Which is exactly why it was chosen for Mac, I’m guessing. And having read Darkest Day, I’ve gotta say, it’s pretty perfect.
